They say the third time is a charm.
That really makes me excited because I'm not sure how the Texas Sunbelt Series would get much better. So, if this next year really is that "lucky" year, I can't wait to see what's in store. Schedule: April 11-12 - Lubbock, TX (TNT Raceway) April 18-19 - Midland, TX (West Texas MX Park) May 2-3 - Abilene, TX (Spring Valley MX) May 23-24 - Coleman, TX (Panther Creek) -NEW THINGS FOR 2009- 1. NO MORE CATEGORIES. We are doing away with the categories since it didn't work out last year. This is a learning experience for me and rider/parent input is an important part of that learning curve. I listen to criticism and try to build on it, so here we go. We will be spreading the contingencies out and will be giving them to every class EXCEPT the open classes. One step at a time, people. Open classes will still recieve overall trophies, just no contingencies. 2. FOUR ROUNDS, FOUR TRACKS. I've always believed the best series are those that have a variety of tracks - no favorites, no locals, no advantages. You probably noticed the new addition - Spring Valley MX in Abilene. This track has been around since 1492 and DAT Promotions will be professionaly handling the races in conjunction with Max's Racing of Abilene. That's really all that's new, except for the sponsor lineup, which isn't finished yet. More later on that. I will say, however, FAMILY POWERSPORTS is again the title sponsor and heavy hitter for the Sunbelt Series. Go by and thank them for the support. -Michael 254.405.3602 This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it |
