You’ve all asked for it and you’ve all waited patiently. So, finally, here we go. We have all cussed and discussed and finally settled on a schedule that we hope benefits the majority of riders on both sides of the state.
First, I want to say thank you to everyone who came out and raced – it was a great time. That being said, please understand that we are trying our best to please to greatest number of riders. With all of you in mind, we have put together a weekend that we hope you will all be happy with. The first annual East vs. West Invitational will be held August 28-30. Why so far from now? We have numerous night series dates to miss as well as Ponca and Loretta’s. Besides, this gives you all time to get in shape, take an AMMX school, and get some bike work done. Also, with you in mind, we split the race action into two days. First motos will be Saturday evening, under the lights. Second motos will be run Sunday, during the day. The reason for this is to make sure you all have plenty of time to make that drive home on Sunday afternoon. Racing should be over by 4 p.m., putting most everyone home before midnight at the latest. Don’t worry though – we will still have an extended Saturday practice, as well as practice before the motos and even practice again Sunday morning. Schedule: Friday, August 28 -Gates open from 3 p.m. until midnight Saturday, August 29 -Gates open at 7 a.m. -Practice from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. -Sign up open at 9 a.m. -Race practice from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. -First motos start at 6 p.m. under the lights Sunday, August 30 -Gates open at 7 a.m. -Practice from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. -Second motos start at 10:30 a.m. -Awards after each moto Important Information: Online sign up available at www.noconamx.com (does not guarantee gate pick) You MUST have your invitation with you to sign up/check in -If you are an alternate, you do not need an invitation You are allowed to race ONLY the class(es) you qualified in -If you move up a class, you are allowed to drop down for the Invitational We will fill 30 gates. Anyone placing outside the top 15 in their qualifying series is considered an alternate. If there are open gates, we will fill them by calling up 16th place, then 17th, and so on. -This year, since the Invitational is on the east side, we will call alternates beginning with the west side riders. Next year, this will be switched. That about does it for now. Please contact me if you have any questions. There are no stupid questions - I need to hear them all so I can answer them. If you have one, most likely there are ten others wondering the same thing. Help me help you - let's talk about it! -Michael 254.405.3602 This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Or post up on the forums so we can all talk about it publicly - www.panthercreekmx.com/newforums |
